I think the ARCS Motivational Model is extremely helpful. It shows how integrating computers in a classroom can be beneficiary. I also think the Understanding Today's Digital Generation table is useful to teachers because we can see and understand better how a student of this generation has become a "digital student" and therefore teachers can try to teach in a way that challenges their students by speaking their language (sort of speak).

I have learned or should I say re-learned the names and definitions of the several computer hardware components and their uses.

I want a BlackBerry. Does anyone in this class have one?? I just tend to forget appointments and to do lists and even when I jot them down, I lose the paper I wrote it on or I don't know. I figure this will help me get more organized. This chapter made me want to buy one:)
